The trace simplex of the transformation group C*-algebras

Abstract:

This talk is a continuation of the talk given by George Elliott on the classification of Villadsen algebras. Motivated by our work on the Villadsen algebras, we study the trace simplex of an AH algebra with diagonal maps or the trace simplex of a transformation group C*-algebra. It is shown that if it is a Bauer simplex, then the C*-algebra must be Jiang-Su stable. In particular, in the case of the transformation group C*-algebras, the underlying dynamical system is actually shown to have the Small Boundary Property.
